For School:

Woof: A Bowser and Birdie Novel by Spencer Quinn is on the 2016-2017 Texas Bluebonnet List this year.  Woof starts with Birdie and her grammy picking out a dog at the pound for her birthday present.  Birdie lives with her grammy while her mom is on active duty in the military.  So far we don't know much about her dad other than Grammy doesn't like to talk about him.  Birdie's family owns a Fish and Bait shop.  Their stuffed priced marlin is stolen off the wall.  Birdie and her new dog Bowser are on the case!
