I'm a librarian in a book rut.
It's been since Aprilish. I've picked up a ton of books and have stopped reading them for one reason or another. I didn't connect to the character(s), the story didn't grab me, I'm bored, etc, etc, etc.
So I've kind of given up.
Nothing sounds good.
I don't feel like picking up another book and putting it back down unfinished.
I am reading a Bluebonnet book right now. But I'm reading it because I have too. And when I have to read a book I never enjoy it as much I enjoy one I just pick up and read because I want too.
So when I finish this "have to" book I am going to find a book to read to get me back on track. I HAVE to find one. I NEED to get back on track.
I don't feel like myself without a book running around in my head.
aaah, don't you hate that feeling??? Summer will cure what ails you!

ReplyDeleteI was in a rut, too - then I read Cynthia Lord's Lucky, and I'm on my way again. It takes just one book - the right one - to get one going again.
